CORRECT POSITIONING OF LEGS

A couple of lovely ladies have inquired as to the correct positioning of the legs on the animals.

I’ve taken a couple of pictures using 16” Bertie the Bear.

The legs should be 1” from the base of the body in the centre, as your sewing the legs on, each time you go through both legs and body making sure to use tension on your sewing thread, so you gently tighten each time you go through. I sew between six and eight times through and secure off.

As you can see in the pictures the Bertie Bear is 16” excluding his ears.

If you look closely you can see the arm is just touching the legs, this is correct.

The arms are sewn not so tightly, because if you have tension on them they will stick out too far.

Hope this helps you all.

Happy sewing
